News: sea trial participants need socket adapters

12/09/2024

As of now, 230V sockets are no longer available on S.718 Disney Treasure. Only 110V sockets can be used. This means that all sea trial participants must obtain an appropriate adapter. In order to be able to draw electricity, the adapter must allow the change from the US plug system to German plugs. No adapters will be kept on board.

News: Registration for sea trial

29/08/2024

The registration process for our new building S. 718 ‘Disney Treasure’ has started. This means that by the deadline, registration is required of all employees who...

  • … participate in the conveyance
  • … stay overnight on board during the laytime I (reservation of a cabin)
  • … come on board as a day visitor during the ship's laytime I

Registration is made using this registration form, which must be completed in full and returned to anmeldung-probefahrt@meyerwerft.de by Wednesday, 11 September 2024.

Please note the following information:

  • a final registration form must be submitted for each cost center and for each company (not a combined form!). It is essential to ensure that ONLY MW cost centers also select these. Partner companies are specified ONLY with the company name WITHOUT cost center assignment.
  • boarding passes will only be handed out if you have an identity card or passport which is valid for at least three months with you (no driver's license or similar).

Participation of the Ems conveyance is only possible if absolutely necessary and after consultation and confirmation. We will inform you about the registration for the sea trial and layover time II at a later date.

Important information on sea trials

Registration for boarding (cabin/commuter)

Registration for boarding can only be made via the persons responsible at MEYER WERFT. Boarding passes cannot be issued without prior registration. All persons who receive a cabin on board must have seen the safety film in advance. This is indicated by a sticker on the boarding pass. Access on board is not possible without this sticker.

Accommodation on board

Bed linen and towels will be provided in the cabins. Disney will provide the housekeeping service and will clean the cabins and wet room at least every two days. Washing of private laundry and work clothes will be possible on board, in the Crew Laundry Deck 01 fire zone 06 starboard. Please note that no detergent will be provided. Therefore, please bring your own detergent. There is also no longer a laundry container in Eemshaven.

So that we do not block any cabins unnecessarily, we reserve the right to vacate and reassign cabins of persons who have not been on board for more than 48 hours without informing our hotel team. Please remember to check out when you leave your cabin for the final time. This is possible in the hotel container at the pier or at the gangway.

Bus shuttle services

In order to make the bus trip to Eemshaven as comfortable as possible for everyone, we have again set up a shuttle bus service (festival site Papenburg <-> Eemshaven). For cost reasons, please refrain from renting company cars and use the service offered. The bus times will be announced here and there will be notices on board. Please follow the bus operator's instructions. If the buses are not used sufficiently, we reserve the right to adjust the bus times and the number of buses.

Berth

It is mandatory to wear a safety vest and helmet on the entire site - including on the way to the catering tent. Please remember helmets and vests, not kept in stock and issued in Eemshaven. There are two parking lots available at the Seafarers' Mission and behind Gate 1. Parking spaces here are limited.

Catering

Catering on board will be split this time. During the conveyance we will eat together with Disney in the Crew Mess. As soon as we have completed the conveyance and reached our berth in Eemshaven, the meal will be in the catering tent on the Sea Lane site. With the start of the sea trial, the entire MEYER WERFT team will eat in the food court on deck 11 aft. This will continue after the sea trial.

Water will be available twice a day in a designated store (water & water with gas).

Important: Queues are always dependent on the behavior of the employees. The concept will only work if everyone respects the allocated meal times.

Disney will provide us with two separate coffee corners for all employees on board. The exact location on board will be announced later and is always subject to change. Please pay attention to the announcements on board or ask our hotel team. This service can only be maintained if it is handled with care. The coffee container at the pier in Eemshaven will not be available.

Internet and television

As yard, we provide a wifi that can be used by the entire Meyer Werft team. It will not be possible to stream movies, but it will be possible to stay in touch via social networks. Telephony will also be possible. The prerequisite for this is that we complete the systems in good time. This also applies to the televisions in the cabins.

What is not allowed?

Drugs, alcohol and weapons are not permitted on board. Persons found to be under the influence of alcohol will be subject to a breath test. The permitted limit for access to the ship or port area is 0.3 per mille.

The consumption and carrying of cannabis on board and in the surrounding area is prohibited. It is also forbidden to board the ship while under the influence of cannabis or other intoxicating substances.

Technical devices such as kettles, game consoles, Irons, etc. are not permitted. They may also not be connected to the socket in the cabins. Razors, traighteners, curling irons and hairdryers are permitted, but should be packed away after use.

Smoking is not permitted in the cabins or outside the designated areas. Likewise, walking around with open drink cups on board.
