Experience meets innovation

MEYER WERFT is one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world. The company’s roots can be traced back to the year 1795, when Willm Rolf Meyer founded the shipyard in Papenburg. The shipyard remained in family ownership until 2024. Around 80 per cent of the company is now owned by the federal government and the state of Lower Saxony. The Meyer family still holds just under 20 per cent and appoints a representative to the Supervisory Board.

MEYER WERFT has earned an excellent reputation worldwide for the construction of specialised ships. The company is best known for building large, modern and sophisticated cruise ships - customised according to the customer's wishes and with a great deal of expertise and the courage to find innovative solutions.
