Equipment Construction Mechanic
If you’d like to train as an equipment construction mechanic, you have to be a real all-rounder, because you’ll have to pick up a whole range of activities. You’ll learn how to install ship components and hydraulic systems. We’ll teach you the basics of metalworking – drilling, threading, cold and hot forming, and the development of geometric shapes. You’ll also take care of the preparation, adjustment and welding of components and the installation of ventilation ducts.
What you should bring
- You have a good high school leaving certificate + metal technology qualification from a vocational college or a qualification allowing you to study at a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife) / A levels (Abitur)
- You enjoy working with your hands
- You demonstrate technical understanding and spatial intelligence
- You work well in a team
- You’re physically fit and resilient
- Duration: 3.5 years
