Pont-Aven

MEYER WERFT delivered Pont-Aven to the French-British shipping company Brittany Ferries in March 2004. Ever since yard number 650 was completed in Papenburg, the vessel has set new standards for passenger ferries. It’s one of the most modern ro-ro ferries in the world.

The impressive facilities on board Pont-Aven are somewhat reminiscent of the cruise ships constructed by MEYER WERFT – its extensive promenade deck extends around the entire ship with lots of sunny seating areas. The ferry also boasts several cinemas, cafés and restaurants, as well as a spectacular atrium that rises over five decks. It’s also worth mentioning the panoramic views from the glass elevators and the on-board pool – quite unusual for a ferry! The indoor pool area has a glass roof that can be opened in good weather. The top deck of the ferry even features a helicopter landing pad.

Pont-Aven operates between England, France and Spain, accommodating up to 650 cars, 20 lorries and 2,400 passengers.
