Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (USA) and Meyer Werft today agreed to build a fourth Quantum-class ship for delivery in spring 2019. This agreement is subject to financing and the final signing of a contract.

“We are very thankful to continue our long lasting relationship with Royal Caribbean by building another ship of the Quantum-class. Guests and travel agents are obviously impressed with the innovative cruise ships we have developed together with Royal Caribbean’s new build team”, said managing partner Bernard Meyer.

The first ships of this class – Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas – were delivered in fall 2014 and spring 2015 respectively. The third ship, Ovation of the Seas, is under construction at Meyer Werft in Northwestern Germany.
