MEYER WERFT honours long-serving employees

Papenburg, 21.11.2024 –

Once again this year, MEYER WERFT has honoured numerous employees who can look back on many years of employment and are celebrating a company anniversary.

At the Forum Alte Werft in Papenburg, the historic site and ‘nucleus’ of MEYER WERFT, 40 employees celebrated their 25 or 40-year anniversaries. Three of them have been working for MEYER for 40 years, 37 for 25 years. This means that the employees celebrating their anniversaries have 1045 years of shipbuilding experience.

Bernard Meyer, Thomas Hebbelmann (Member of the Management Team, Human Resources) and Andreas Hensen (Chairman of the Works Council) thanked the employees for their many years of service.

‘Thank you for your outstanding work, your commitment and your loyalty over the past decades. You have contributed to many new ships from Papenburg during this time,’ said Bernard Meyer.

Works Council Chairman Andreas Hensen also congratulated the jubilarians: ‘The colleagues who have been honoured today for 25 or even 40 years of employment have passed on their knowledge over many years and brought the shipyard forward. In today's fast-paced world, their long service to the company shows their close ties to the company, and we are all proud of that’.
