AIDAcosma
AIDAcosma has been delivered to AIDA Cruises in 2021. The keel for the luxury liner was laid in October 2019 at NEPTUN WERFT in Warnemünde. That’s where the floating engine room units are being built, including the tanks used to store the low-emission LNG. This is currently the most environmentally friendly fuel for ships. Once the engine room has been fully built, it will be transported by tugboat along the Kiel Canal to MEYER WERFT in Papenburg.
AIDAcosma will be an impressive ocean liner, measuring 337 metres in length and rising 20 decks into the skies. Some of its on-board highlights will include a bouldering wall, a large pool area with waterslides, an indoor playground and a running track for morning joggers. If you’re looking for some relaxation, you’ll be able to take a dip in the infinity pool or let the world pass you by in the sea-view sauna. And passengers certainly won’t go hungry or thirsty, as the cruise ship will feature 17 restaurants and 23 bars.
AIDAcosma is the sister ship of AIDAnova, which was the first ship in the world to use our specially developed LNG drive system.
