MEYER WERFT honours it “ Partner des Jahres 2014”
Papenburg, 20 February 2015 – With the award of “Partner des jahres 2014”, MEYER WERFT pays tribute to its partners who have excelled themselves by virtue of their outstanding achievements in the last year. The ceremonial event, which was held this year for the ninth time, took place at the town hall Papenburg. The laudatory speech praising the excellent performance of the prize-winners in 2014 was given by members of the Meyer Werft purchasing department. CEOs Bernard Meyer, Dr. Jan Meyer and Lambert Kruse, together with the head of materials management/purchasing, Ralf Sempf, and purchasing heads Klaus Lübbers and Johann Thieke presented the trophies and certificates. This year's award ceremony was watched by more than 300 invited guests.
The “Partner des Jahres 2014” award is based on a supplier assessment conducted regularly by the shipyard as part of its supplier management..

In their acceptance speeches, the prize-winners stressed the good, partner-based cooperation between the shipyard and its suppliers.
At the afternoon event in the 'Small Theatre' in the Alte Werft, the senior management and the purchasing department presented the latest information on the cruise ship market as well as news on the subject of supplier management.
