Project Management
The project managers at MEYER WERFT manage the construction of individual ships. Each team of project managers is responsible for the shipbuilding projects ordered by a specific shipping company, focusing on essential project management issues, maintaining close contact with the shipping company, classification society and surveyors, and counting on the work of various departments and trades during the construction of ships.
Our employees work closely with the core project team to manage the development of each ship. They oversee the detailed production drawings, help out with the selection of components and suppliers, and ultimately take responsibility for the construction, commissioning, maiden voyage and delivery of the cruise ship to the shipping company (including the scheduling of acceptance tests, the organisation of the maiden voyage, hotel management, docking schedules, etc.). The employees in our Warranty department also coordinate and process any claims made by shipping companies during the warranty period.
A wide range of professionals work as project managers at MEYER WERFT. Most of them have completed technical training or a technical degree.
